Infosys Online Test Pattern, Syllabus and Interview Process

Infosys Ltd. is India’s third largest IT servicing company in India. Infosys conducts many Off Campus as well as On Campus drive across India several times a year. Reference(referral drive) plays an important part in Infosys selection process. If you get can reference, you may have high chances for appearing for Infosys Online Test, if you are eligible.
If you are the lucky one to be shortlisted by Infosys and you are about to write the Infosys Online Exam, follow the tips and go through the syllabus and test pattern so that you can easily crack the Infosys Written Test.

Eligibility criteria for Infosys 2018:
  • 65% throughout the academics like 10th, 12th and degree/graduation
  • No active/pending backlogs
  • Not more than 1 year of education gap
Note: The eligibility criteria may vary, so please check for it before applying.
No. of rounds for Infosys Selection Process:
  1. Online Test(Aptitude, Logical and Verbal)
  2. Technical Round
  3. HR Round
Infosys Online Test(Aptitude, Logical and Verbal):
The test duration is about 95 minutes and 75 questions.
There are three section in Infosys Exam. They are:
  1. Arithmetic Reasoning and Analytical Thinking(15 Questions 25 Minutes)
  2. Mathematical Critical Thinking and Logical Reasoning(10 Questions 35 Minutes)
  3. Verbal Ability Test(40 Questions 35 Minutes)
Note:
There is no negative marking in any section.
Though it will have sectional cut-off, which may vary with no. of candidate appearing for Test. It is recommended to score at least 70% in each section.
i). Arithmetic Reasoning and Analytical Thinking:
  • Data Interpretation
  • Logical Deduction
  • Data sufficiency
  • Direction Sense
  • Seating Arrangements
Data Interpretation will have any one of Pie chart, Table or Line and Bar. So practice all sort of questions.
Logical Deduction includes syllogism, logical questions. If you are good at deductions, it will be easy for you t solve it.
Data sufficiency will have two statements, based upon the question and logic, you need to chose it from the option provided like both statement are sufficient or any of the statement is sufficient etc.
ii). Mathematical Critical Thinking and Logical Reasoning(10 Questions 35 Minutes):
It is the easiest section of all. Because you will have a lot time for solving the problem.

  • Ratio and Proportion
  • Allegation ad Mixture
  • Time, Distance and Speed
  • Crytoarithmetic
  • Permutation and Combination
  • Coding and decoding
  • Time and work
  • Percentage
  • Profit and Loss
  • Pipes and Cistern
  • Cube Problems
  • Mensuration and Geometry
Even though you good at all those topics, you never know from where they will give questions. Additionally practice some puzzle problems.
iii).  Verbal Ability Test(40 Questions 35 Minutes):
Out of three section, English is the toughest to crack not just because it has less time and more questions but also toughness of questions are CAT, GMAT, GRE level.
  • Sentence Improvement
  • Fill in the Blanks(one word substitute, Idioms)
  • Error Finding
  • Reading comprehension
  • Theme Detection
After writing the Online Test, if you have qualified the Online Test, there will send you email, with in a week.
2. Technical Round
Technical round is easy but though if you are non-IT student. Though they will ask simple technical question. You need to have sound knowledge in C, Java and Database.
  • Basic Technical question from C, Java, SQL etc.
  • To find the output of the given program
  • To write syntax and programs
  • Regarding academics
  • What is role in project
3. HR Round
HR will be very friendly and if you speak well with a bit of smile, you can easy to crack it. There will check your communication skills and your confidence. Some of the commonly asked question this round:
  • Tell about yourself?
  • Why you want to join Infosys
  • About your project?
  • Which is your favorite subject?
  • Do you have any Questions?
And other questions like your family background, academics etc.
